HOW TO CONTRACT FOR A COMMISSION
A commission can be a completely original work, a painting similar to one that is no longer available (perhaps with differences in color or size), or a hand embellished reproduction on gallery wrap canvas. The advantage of a commission is that your piece is just the way you want it for your space.
Prices are similar to originals in the sames size, and embellished reproductions roughly twice that of a standard reproduction.
Timeline: an original painting depending on the size, detail and drying time can take a month, while an embellished reproduction only 2 weeks.
Here's the process:
1.You purchase a commissioned work
2.We discuss all the particulars of what you are looking for.
3.I confirm my understanding of what you want in writing and an estimated completion date.
4.I get to work (the fun part)
5. Your commissioned art is shipped to your home.
For example the Milagro Heart was created using symbols and colors with special meaning to the client, and the Mustard Field was done in a much larger size than the original painting to fit the client's large home.
