The other day, I was walking down the street and the traditions of my neighborhood were as per usual. Cars parked along the street, a grocery store that always smelled like fresh bread, and the older lady in front of it selling fresh cut flowers. So one day I came up to her and asked her: “Why do you come every day?” She responded: “Because every day somebody buys a bouquet and smiles”. Flowers can light up the whole day, would you agree? I added a blue color on the left of white petals just to add balance to the painting. Because happiness is not a given thing. It isn’t predictable and neither is this dramatic color scheme. It is a progressive feeling thing and nature is a great teacher of that. Green colors in the background work as a base we should always come back to. This original piece would look marvelous on an acrylic surface.
